We are not advocating the destruction of books. No, we think books are the most useful thing on the planet. Once they have been read, they can be re-read, lent out, used to decorate a home (they are the ONLY thing you need to decorate a home, really) or placed under your pillow for nighttime absorbtion.
But, there are millions and millions of books that end up in landfills (at the dump) every year! Those are the books we are lobbying for here. We are advocates for unwanted books. We advocate for the re-purposing and use of all of the lonely lovely books from the Island of Unwanted Books.

Getting really creative. This book lamp would be perfect in any family room, a kid’s room or den. It would be great in a library or themed rooms, as well. Creatively choosing books that correspond with the person, or the theme, makes this a standard choice.

This is way too cool. Using pages from a book or old hymnal to paper a wall. This would work great in a library, a music room or a study. I can even imagine using picture books for travel themed rooms. A single wall is probably best. And I notice in the photo, the wide area of border/margin around the text makes it more pattern-like. A short book could be put up in order to tell a story.
